Mike Pettey

Mike has been playing the guitar for almost 30 years and selling them for about 19. As a transplant from Las Vegas, he has worked with many professional musicians and fronted mostly his own bands. Mike has sold music gear all over Las Vegas, California, and now Portland, Oregon. His expertise with guitars, amps, and guitar accessories is great and he's happy to share his knowledge. Stu Kinzel

Electric Guitar Expert

Stu Kinzel is a native Portlander with over thirty years in the music and musical instrument business. He is a professional guitarist, singer and songwriter with numerous awards (Muddy Award, Cascade Blues Association 2001-2002-2003) and endorsements for his playing and teaching skills and he co-directed Blues in the Schools for over five years, performing for and educating nearly one million school aged children in the Portland metro area. Stu has recorded under his own name as well as session studio recordings. He is well noted for his acoustic finger-style and slide guitar playing, and also as an electric guitarist in band setting. Stu plays banjo, mandolin, tenor guitar, pedal steel and lap-steel and 12-string guitar. Stu's 2002 release "Oklahoma Credit Card" was noted as one of the top ten Independent releases by Blues on Stage (NPR/Ruth Brown host) Juke Blues (UK) and many other national and international radio programs and publications dedicated to Roots and Blues music. He is an avid guitar and vintage amp collector.

Toby Worthington

After spending years as an executive chef, then building travel trailers in Eastern Oregon, in 1999 Toby followed his heart and came back to Portland to work at Apple and play music. Having been a customer since the early eighties, Apple was the obvious choice. Combining the best gear, customer service, and good prices, Toby is always willing to answer questions, and help you get the right gear at the right price. He carries his attitude of fun and professionalism over to the bands he plays with. Toby is in the store Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10:30 to 6:30.
